Dividing the Mullahs: Houthis & Saudis Scheme for a Post-IRGC Iran
If you believe the meme that the Houthis magically defeated the Saudi-American proxies in some sort of "Blitzkrieg" - congratulations - feel free to bid-up crude oil prices into an apparent collapse of the most important and strategic American ally and in the world.
To be honest, I consider the recent move something that a von Metternich would conceive: the "Yemeni blitz" will be considered an episode of absolute genius and coordination between the US, Saudi, and Houthi leadership.
Crude Oil - Still Below Spring Levels
The market doesn't buy the Houthi surge as indicative of some sort of Saudi collapse. In fact, it stands to reason the entire "surge" was very much a repeat of what Biden did in Afghanistan or other fading colonial powers that withdrew and fought a perfunctory rear-guard action to buy-time to negotiate terms and prepare suitable leverage for the next leadership.
What Actually Happened: Trump Admin & Saudis Gave Yemen Up to Divide Iranian Mullahs
Breaking-up Xi's neo-Soviet means cracking Iran: his fuel supply and the key to the undervalued RMB and the stability of the Beijing-faction of CCP.
By giving Houthis carte-blanche to reclaim contested Yemeni territory, under an overtly Shia Houthi administration, the Saudis deliver a viable nation-state to the Houthis that now:
- Possess weapons and technology that require American spare parts and technicians
- Nominally controls passages in the Red Sea that service the Suez Canal and can "provide security" and rent bases (to the US) in exchange for visas to the US and the usual "Epstein package deal"
- ASSERT RESOURCE RIGHTS OVER THE YEMENI PORTION OF NUBIAN SHIELD(ANS) VMS DEPOSITS AND OPEN-UP TO AMERICAN INVESTORS AND RESOURCE INDUSTRIES

The Houthis Are Ready to Get Rich - War is Passe
You know the Houthi surge came at Iran's expense precisely because Jolani, America's Syrian client, faced an insurgency days after the Houthi blitz into the Red Sea.
Just an the US lost India a few weeks ago, now, it's Iran's turn: the IRGC elite and radical Mullahs turn pink knowing that the Houthis are already in midtown Manhattan, negotiating equity placements and private holding companies to develop the Yemeni region of the ANS VMS deposits, containing world-class gold, copper, and other minerals.
Iran Lost Her Red Sea Proxy - Moderate Mullahs Can Push for a Coup
By losing the Houthis and their Red Sea proxy, the moderate Mullahs now have an opportunity to endorse a "loss of confidence" in the ancien regime and endorse a coup in Iran.
Given those long odds, though, especially with all the active foreign intervention to prop-up the Iranian regime by the Xi-led neo-Soviet powers, at the very least Xi knows that the US can hit back - hard - and who knows... maybe Malaysia will topple, next?
