Pulling-Forward GPU Demand - Front-Running the Xi-Trump September Summit

In typical neo-Nixonite style, the Trump administration seeks to front-run the Xi-Trump talks in September by pulling-forward GPU demand as much as possible.

Pulling-Forward GPU Demand to De-Risk Taiwan GPU Blockade

Within the past week, mainstream press outlets such as the Wall Street Journal and New York Times ran articles articulating risks imposed by a Chinese "siege" or "blockade" of Taiwan and its impact on the US economy.

More meaningfully, however, were the top-down edicts from the Trump administration to eliminate all financing and execution impediments for data center construction: the mass, coordinate financing of the "AI bubble" not only raised tech stocks - it pulled-forward a generation of semiconductor demand to now, allowing the mass-importation of leading-generation GPU's needed for the next decade of data centers.

GPU Shortage from Taiwan Blockade - Need to Make it to 2029

IF the US pulls-forward enough GPU demand to today, then presumably it would buffer a supply-shock resulting from a Chinese siege of Taiwan: with the active reshoring fully financed and underway already($265 BILLION from TSMC, alone), within 3 years, one could expect some sufficiently-minimal domestic production to have successfully transferred from TSMC in Taiwan to TSMC in the United States.

Thus, a supply-shock from a Taiwan siege only gives China a 2-3 year window of leverage on the United States' economy - bad, but certainly better than decades or even worse - indefinite.

Open-Throttle AI GPU Imports Until Crisis

If one notes a trend, one may see that the existing paradigm in trade entails allowing "bad deals to die a natural death" - e.g. the CUSMA renewal which failed with Canada and, invariably, gets re-written most likely by this Fall, as Carney's Carnage exceeds his organizations risk-tolerance.

This could also explain Bessent's mandate to "run it hot" - run it hot with respect to GPU imports to give Trump leverage against a Taiwan blockade/siege scenario.

Brace for Impact!

It stands to reason that the Trump administration has braced, to the best of its ability, the US economy for a "supply shock" from Taiwan.

Think about: why else the existential urgency to build data centers as quickly as possible? Why would anti-Trump outlets push data center skepticism - naturally, to make the impending Taiwan siege far more costly than Trump's administration can bear!

The entire technology sector pivoted its capital in record time to finance a massive data center construction program: they would not do this without government assurances!!!

Note the buying opportunity into the "data center skepticism" - data center stocks and companies invested into data centers have had their values plunge since the recent open model attacks from China - a Taiwan siege ends that pain and makes this "data center dump" a buying opportunity of the decade.

Chinese Open-Model AI - Direct Attack on American Data Center Capex

China relentlessly unleashing open-model AI's prove a direct attack on the US economy: these open-model AI's directly undermine the entire data center capital stack and re-shoring financing of US semiconductor production away from Taiwan.

Naturally, the US retaliates by squeezing Iran, China's oil supply, further.

However, blackmailing the Chinese does not work: they will go to war - but how big a war - and where - remains the question.

The US Wants China to Blockade Taiwan

In the end, the US seeks to goad China to blockade Taiwan, as it immediately makes all data centers thus far built in the US profitable (replacement costs would 10x overnight) and only help re-shore even more capital.

China, knowing full-well the economic and political cost of a Taiwanese blockade, instead escalates with open-model AI's that incrementally but not fatally undermine the "Trump AI Capex Stack". Trump retaliates against Xi with more proxy escalation, e.g. bombing campaigns against Russia and Iran and other Chinese proxies.

The September Meeting - Pure Optics & Theatre

The upcoming September meeting will not make peace - it simply allows both sides to present a "just cause" for the upcoming escalation in the South China Seas.

Two things will happen, this fall:

1) Trump gets his reshoring.

2) Xi expands China and validates his legacy and "Mandate from Heaven".
